Versa 2 screen and restart problems

How did you solve them?

I've read through multiple forums on here with other Versa 2 users who are having the exact same problems as me. I bought my Versa 2 back in November and have loved it since. However, about 2 weeks ago I started having problems with my watch.

First, I noticed that it restarted out of nowhere. I thought it was odd since it was the first time that it happened, but I just went about my day. Flash-forward to now, my Versa 2 restarts multiple times day by itself, my screen will suddenly freeze so I have to manually restart it, my heart rate monitor will suddenly stop working and then I feel a vibration and it will suddenly work again, and my battery will drain a lot more than what it has for all the time I've owned it.

I've read other forums on here about other users having the same problem, but how did you resolve the issues? I've tried shutting it down multiple times that I can't even count them. I've even tried factory resetting it with no success. My Fitbit app is up to date and my Versa 2 is running the newest software (70.7.21). I am getting extremely frustrated because I feel like there is nothing more I can do other than live with this bad watch or pay for a new one. I am not going to get a new one, I'd rather pay for an Apple Watch at this point.

Hi @Lizcats13, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit forums.

Regarding the display and battery draining issues that your Versa 2 is experiencing, I would like to follow up and would like to know if the issue persists or if they got resolved. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Also, I'd like to know if the factory reset was performed as below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

Looking forward to your response.
