watch has been restarted and all other basic trouble shooting.   same thing happened with the luxe i use to own..is there any special troubleshooting i should try?

is this a normal fitbit issue because two times with the same weird issue seems weird on two different devices.  the luxe completely died when this happened....is this a going to constantly happen with Fitbit products? a 1yr/2yr life span before completely dead? i dont really want to be throwing my money away

Hi there, @Lari__. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

If you haven't done so yet, try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

I only use the regular watch face.  I think it has actually officially just died.  I only have the haptic sounds and very random screen glitching.  If there is an email I could forward a video but i take it that my issue is very well known to Fitbit as this is the second device this exact issue has happened on.   Unbelievably upset with the poor quality of products.

What ended up happening?

Same thing happening here. It just started out of the blue yesterday. I changed the clock face and that seemed to work for about an hour and then back to the crazy screen again. I'm out of warranty of course, but this will be my last Fitbit as well, if this isn't resolved. There's no damage to my watch. I take very good care of it. I'll switch to the Samsung Galaxy Watch or something equivalent if they don't want to listen to our concerns.

It was garbage had to toss out (third Fitbit to come to same death)

I’m thinking of getting the Apple Watch (I’m on iPhone so it’s just more comparable)

I gotcha.  I like the simplicity of the Fitbit vs. the Apple, but I’m going to look at Samsung!  I really need something that will track swimming.

WOW.  So I guess it’s my 2nd one in 2 years that did this if I count the one I bought for my BF, too. What did you replace it with?

Interesting ... this just happened to me yesterday too after changing the clock face.  What is going on FitBit?  I've had this one almost 3 years and happy so far.

You might can SAVE IT!  I did!

I wanted to report back to all of you as a follow up of my August post when my Fitbit seemed to be croaking.  It was glitching screen, snowy screen, etc.  I got it back yo normal!  If yours has any life in it at all, it may be salvageable.  I did the following (sometimes more than once so be patient.  I’m a super strong willed person who doesn’t accept defeat very well! Lol!)

1.  If there’s any life at all, try to navigate to settings on the watch itself, then the “about”, then make your way down to Factory Reset.
I had to do it a number of times bc it was glitching so badly and impossible to read the face of the watch so I navigated based on memory, took my chances, had to try several times.

2.  If you couldn’t do 1, try charging up all the way, usually an hour, then try again.  Also, do shut downs to see if you get any life on the watch to buy you some seconds to navigate to the factory reset.

3.  Via the app, change your clock face.

So for me, it took all of these measures and some repeats so expect to tinker w all the above, but in my case, it’s worked great since early August!!  No more problems!  I thought the thing was trash!  So happy to revive it!

I've been Fitbit Faithful for years. My Fitbit trackers seem to die in 13 months, just past the warranty.  I invested in Apple Watch this past summer (mostly for my Mom) and I find myself using it more than Fitbit.  I've worn both at the same time.  I like Fitbits sleep data.

If I can't get my Versa 2 working, I'll continue with Apple.  For the price we pay for these gadgets, we should get something that will last for some time.  I do have a Fitbit Blaze, that miraculously still works, after 6 years. (Watch it die)

I agree.  I recently acknowledged what seemed to be the death of my Versa 2, but miraculously, after much effort, research and creativity, revived it.  I have an Apple, and well, I just don’t like it at all.  Don’t know what I’ll buy next as I cannot buy a new tracker every single year.

I will not buy fit bits again. They last about one month after the warranty
runs out.

I just got my watch 3 weeks ago, I will try what you recommended. Ty

I will never buy another fit bit product. They don’t last more than a year
and a half. But four of them and three of them died in less than 18 months.

And it was already glitching?   Mine has worked perfectly now for like 3 months when I seriously thought I was going to have to toss it.  Doing each troubleshooting suggestion separately had not worked at all. I had to do them all together, or back-to-back.   I really hope this helps others.
