Versa 2 screen stuck on Set up Wallet

Hi all I hope you can help. My Versa 2 is stuck on ‘set up wallet’ screen. I can not swipe up or down. The button is not working either. Is there a way I can fix this

Hi there @Moona58, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2's screen is stuck on "Set up Wallet", I'll be glad to help you with this. 

 

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

 

  1. Check in the Fitbit app if your Versa 2 is still syncing, if so, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process. 
  2. If changing the clock face doesn't work, please restart your watch by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

 

If the suggestions don't work, at this point I recommend doing a factory reset (before doing so, make sure to remove your watch from your Fitbit account): 

 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset. 

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

 

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I have restarted my Versa 2 but it is still stuck at Set up wallet. Nothing is working! Please help! Nevsin5.

I've contacted fitbit about this issue... they DID NOT help. I hope that you had better luck!!!

Found out today there is a very simple solution to this problem after trying everything on the internet & Fitbit Customer service for 3 days. All you do is add a card to your wallet through your app. The card will then show up on your watch face. Go to a store and purchase something and use your watch to pay. It instantly unlocks your watch!

I am having same issue as many others with Versa 2 that Screen is stuck on Set Up Wallet AND the side button on left side is not working. What are the options to fix this issue?    And is there a button on the back of Versa 2?

All you do is add a credit card to your wallet through your app. The card will then show up on your watch face. Go to a store that has tap option on the credit card machine and purchase something. Use your watch to pay. It instantly unlocks your watch!

I let my Versa 2 discharge completely, re-charged it, and the wallet thing is gone and the regular screen is back!  Yay!  BTW, I can't get the button on the side to do anything.

This is great if you want to use the wallet, but I'd rather not give my info to a 3rd party.
