Versa 2 shutting down randomly

It was a gift thankfully I saved my 8 year old garmin that I never had issues with.  This watch was great for about a month then it would shutdown in the middle of a workout yes I restarted it called the help number and they had me try to restart again but I couldn’t it shutdown and wouldn’t turn on.  

That being said they’re sending me a new one but maybe not ? I asked if my replacement was new or refurbished she couldn’t tell me.  Not only that since the watch was a Christmas gift and it’s getting replaced 2/27/2020 they won’t extend my warranty out 2 months I hate this watch.  Don’t buy!
