My side button has stopped working. The watch is only a few months old so this is quite annoying. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue before?

My Versa2 Fibit is less than 2 years old. The side button no longer works as I see seems to be a common issue. What is the best way to go about contacting someone regarding this?
Best AnswerHow do I get help because I’m having the same problem. I have a Fitbit versa 2 and the side button is not working. When I can get the screen to come on it’s on the Settings page and it won’t change.

Best AnswerMine Versa 2 is not working at all. I tried to do the chat with support and they had me try multiple steps without success. Then they said I would get an email about the warranty, but I didn't get one. Then I called the support line and was told that there was a lot of calls recently and the "email team" was behind in sending out emails. My Versa 2 still is not working and still no email. Frustrated. I like it and don't want to switch to a new brand or Iwatch.
Best AnswerMy left button isn’t working either. Reached out on Twitter and they said reset. But I can’t because the side button doesn’t work. And I can’t set the alarms on it. They are giving me the run around instead of a new device.

I feel like this must be a known issue to the manufacturers. My side button stopped working, but my Fitbit Versa 2 was few weeks out of warranty, so the only thing offered by the manufacturer was a discount on another one (and not a large discount). I went without a Versa 2 for a while and then found a great deal on a new Fitbit Versa 2 through a reputable company. Against my better judgment, I bought a new Versa 2. This one was only nine months old when the left button stopped working. In this case, since it was less than a year old and since I bought it through a reputable and known partner, I was able to get it replaced rather easily. I am waiting on the new one now, although I don't have much faith that the button will last on this one either. The only two Versa 2s I have owned developed the exact same issue rather quickly. (And, no I do not get my Fitbit wet, so it can't be that.)

I have dealt with this issue twice. The second time around my Versa 2 was less than a year old and I contacted customer support via chat and they offered me a replacement or a discount on another Fitbit product.
My side button also stopped working. The device is only 3 months old. I bought it through Amazon. Do I return it to Amazon or Fitbit for replacement?
