Versa 2 side button not working

My side button has stopped working. The watch is only a few months old so this is quite annoying. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue before?

@Kiwican, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the side button of your Fitbit Versa 2 stopped working. I totally understand how you feel about this.

I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they told me that they sent you an email, requesting a few details. Please reply to their email with the information and they'll be happy to follow up and assist you accordingly.

Exactly the same thin has happened to me.  I have just shut my device down through the About dialog and i can't now turn it back on.

 

Very annoying - I only bought it in January 2020!!!

I bought mine in January 2020 as well, The button stopped working today. I am shocked how many other people reported the same issue. I mean, Fitbit isn't a bad brand I thought I would last longer than a couple of months.. Shame..

HiThey actually replaced mine without too much hassle. Log a support ticket and they ask for a video of button not working and a photo of your name with your call ref they give you. If you are in warranty a new pebble will be sent out very quickly.Hope that helpsChrisSent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Mine is not working either. I chatted with a Fitbit representative. Because my watch it two weeks out of warranty they offered me no help and a 35% off coupon for a new watch. For $200 I should get more than a year of use out of a watch and there should be some option to have the watch fixed! I'm done with Fitbit.

Hello my left button is non responsive on my Versa 2  and can't do much on the screen or toggle between options in the menu .am not able to restart by holding the left button for a while  and doesn't do anything.  when the battery drains out It then goes to the main screen menu but can't access as the side button is non responsive.jabe written an email and bone have gotten back.pleade help

Same with my versa side button dead now can’t do anything as versa stuck in wallet set up which I tried last......

help?!

Hi everyone. I totally understand how you feel about the unresponsive button issue that your Versa watches have experienced. I'd like you to try cleaning around the button with a toothpick in order to remove any dust or moisture that this part of the watches accumulate sometimes.

After this, press the button for 15 seconds and see if the issue gets fixed.

My Versa has shut off and won’t respond- I can’t turn it on, it won’t sync. Sooo annoyed!

I've had my Versa 2 for almost 2 yrs the past yr the side button hasn't worked but still could do some things by swiping and tapping to different areas of the versa 2, it was stuck on wallet then I could follow it on the app it was still tracking then it decided to unfreeze and it worked again but not the side button it still doesn't but now it won't sync to the app . 🙄 For me this is the worst fitbit ever.
