Versa 2 sleep history data missing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just noticed today, Jan. 21, 2022 that my sleep data history only goes back to Jan. 3, 2022. No issue with any of the other stats (steps, water, etc.) as I can go back & see all data for over 2 years since I’ve had my Versa 2. Anybody else coming across this?

Hi there, @Cottor. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your sleep data.

If your Fitbit app is no showing your sleep data from Jan 3rd to Jan 21st, it seems like your Versa 2 didn't track your sleep stages properly.

I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Also, please note that when you swipe to see the information from previous days, only the Main tile (steps, floors, calories burned, active minutes and distance) will update. The other tiles will only show "Today's" information. In order to check the information form previous days in tiles such as Water, Sleep and Reminders to move, please tap on each tile, where you will find detailed information and a complete graph of your stats.

I have had this issue and I figured out it was because my heart rate monitor had stopped working. If it can't record your resting heart rate, it won't do sleep tracking properly.
