@SuruchiS Thanks for the additional details!

As I've mentioned above, Fitbit devices may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Please note that exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. Have you checked this? If you haven't done so yet, please try cleaning it with by following these steps How do I clean my Fitbit device?

Don't forget that Fitbit devices that count floors have a small hole (altimeter sensor) on the back of the device so please don’t insert any items, such as paper clips, into this hole as you can damage your device.

While there isn't an option to remove those floors, my best suggestion is to manually log a driving activity to negate those details. Additionally, as @SunsetRunner suggested above, you can restart your Versa 2 to refresh its performance, wear it snug on your wrist and monitor its behavior.

Hope this helps.

Hello @SuruchiS

Have you tried restarting your Versa 2? You won’t lose any data doing so. Look here to see how it’s properly done: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm By the way, I too have a Versa 2 and “sometimes” I get a weird floor count during bad storms or windy conditions. It happens

😃Please let me know if restarting helps…I’ll be around

Hi there, @SuruchiS. Welcome to the Community Forums.

To better assist you, can you please let me know if your Versa 2 is tracking way too low or high floors?

Fitbit devices may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or as @SunsetRunner has mentioned, from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see: Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

If you want to remove extra floors from your account, please follow these steps.

Hope that helps.

Hello again @SuruchiS

I understand your continuing to have floors counting. You can try restarting your Versa 2 to see if that helps. You will not lose any of your data doing a restart. Look here to see how it’s properly done: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm

😉 Let me know if that corrects the problem

Tried all those things. Problem started  around August 7, 2022. Have rebooted my Versa 2 twice. It is counting hundreds of floors per day when my average over two years is 20-30 floors per day.
