Versa 2 step count decreasing

In the last 2 days I've hit my steps by mid afternoon, I looked last night and 2000 steps had disappeared? The same has happened today? Any advice on how to fix this?

Is it a problem with your watch face showing incorrect values?

You can verify this by going to the Today app [swipe up] and check the steps.

The steps in Today app and the Fitbit phone app should match after syncing.

 

If they don't, restart the watch and phone though probably not necessary.

 

Logout of Fitbit app [click profile photo, top left, scroll to bottom]
Shut down watch [ Swipe left, Settings, at the bottom, About, at the bottom,Shutdown]
Reboot phone
Start watch [Hold button for a few seconds only till it vibrates and wait for Logo and clock to appear]

Did you manually log, through the app, any type of exercise?

No I let the watch auto recognize exercise, I've never manually added to the app
