Versa 2 stopped receiving notifications

text messages and what’s up messages stopped showing on my versa 2. I reboot manufacture watch and re installed fit bit app. I am now updating my iPhone version as there is an an updated to see. 
this happened already once time troubles shooted with tech department. It didn’t work then mysteriously they started to appear. Help please

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking whether your Versa 2 is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

• Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
• The screen's brightness is set to dim.
• The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
• The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.
