Versa 2 stops receiving notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I recently changed phones from a One Plus to a Huawei P30pro. I set up the notifications and they were working well, then a few times during the week it stops working at this message appears, "Notification Service Not Running. A phone restart is required To re-enable notifications on your tracker."

Restarting does not work, only uninstalling the app and going through the procedure to activate notifications works. But I've already had to do this reinstallations 4-5 times in a week. Why does it disconnect? Is it possible that when I put the phone in "battery save mode", or "do not disturb" causes this error? I love my watch but I also love my new phone and am extremely disappointed that this issue is happening repeatedly.

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest.

After this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Thank you for the reply,

As I said I can get it to connect notifications again but the it disconnects and that error message appears. This never happened to me before. I will see how long this reset lasts.

I am having this same problem with my phone and versa 2 not every staying synced. It will work for a day, then stop and I cant do anything but Uninstaller and start all over. Thinking about splurging and just going with a Samsung watch that actually works.

It seems to stay synced if I keep the app on all the time...a bit annoying as it drains battery but it's actually not too bad so at least it's a fix. I love the fitbit so much but the sync feature is huge for me.

seems like I receive all the messages only if I keep the app active at all times. A bit annoying as I didn't need to do that with my One Plus and it drains battery but not horrible as a compromise.
