Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit Logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All of a sudden my Versa 2 stopped tracking everything (steps, heart rate, etc.) yesterday. Now all I have on my Versa screen is the fitbit logo. I tried to restart my Versa but nothing happens. My Versa also won't sync to the app.

Hello @MsPerez1016

Sometimes you have to perform a restart several times. The rule of thumb (for a lack of a better term) is to try a restart at least 3 times. If that doesn’t work have you check to see if your Versa 2 shows up as connected on your Bluetooth mobile device? If it is indeed connected try toggling the Bluetooth off then on again. If the problem persist look to make sure your using the latest Fitbit App update and log out of the Fitbit App then turn off your phone for 1-2 mins then restart your phone and log back into the Fitbit App. Try syncing your tracker again. As a last resort if your still experiencing issues you can try and set up your Versa 2 as a new device.
Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on then open your Fitbit app, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up A Device. Pick Versa 2 from the list then simply follow the on screen instructions.
😉 Hopefully this helps. Keep me posted on how it goes

Hi there, @MsPerez1016. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. @SunsetRunner Thanks for your help!

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

I didn't do a factory reset on my Versa. I was eating supper when I noticed it stopped working and was stuck with the Fitbit logo on the watch screen. I'll try all the suggestions given to me so far that I haven't already tried.

I tried restarting my watch several times last night and this morning. I'll try your other suggestions and hope something works.

I now have a red battery with exclamation point appearing on my watch screen every so often. I'm trying to charge my Versa but it doesn't seem to be charging. My battery was around 60% last night,  so I don't see how it could now be deader than a door nail. Plus, when my battery has died in the past, I never had the red battery with exclamation point show on the watch screen.

Hello again @MsPerez1016

The exclamation mark usually means one of two things:

  1. you either waited too long to recharge your Versa and the battery is fully depleted, or
  2. an error occurred during a firmware update, in which case restarting your Versa 2 again then leaving it plugged in afterwards will cause the update to resume and complete.

My gut feeling is choice 2 is what your experiencing. So I’d perform the restart and plug it in. I understood initially that you didn’t perform a factory reset. Is your Versa 2 showing as connected on your Bluetooth but it’s not syncing?

It wasn't showing as connected to my Bluetooth. I unpaired the device from the app, deleted the device on my app, logged out of the Fitbit app, and shut my phone off for a few minutes before turning it back on. I tried to set up my Versa on the app but the device can't be located.  It had been on the charger for about 45 minutes before I tried to re-pair the Versa to the app. I don't even know if my Versa is on, all I get is either the Fitbit logo or the red battery with exclamation point. It switches between those two.
