Hi, i recently purchased the versa 2 having previously having an Alta.
When i use to tap the alta screen just once the screen woke and was fine. I am finding with the Versa 2 that it is very inconsistent, sometimes i tap once and it wakes sometimes a double tap wakes it but other times it takes 6 or 7 taps to wake! is this normal or is it faulty?

The Versa is a little different than the Alta in that the Alta does not have a touch screen.
Your Alta actually was looking for a tap, while the Versa with its touch screen is looking for a touch. Think of it as the same touch as you do while typing on your phone. Touch the finger to the display and lightly press.

Hi Rich
Thanks for your response.
I have just tried the "Touch the finger to the display and lightly press" but the screen just stayed blank, i.e. didn't wake the screen.
Does the versa 2 not have the tap to wake function then?

Mine does, sometimes I have to touch/tap twice. If the finger slides during the touch then it will not work.

@PLyons83 I never owned an Alta, so I don't know if it always needed a tap to wake. But your Versa 2 has a Screen Wake option in the Settings on the Versa 2 itself. Swipe left on the screen until you get to the Settings (gear) > scroll to Screen Wake. If it set to Auto, then your screen will wake when you raise your wrist to look at the screen. If it is set to Manual, then your screen will wake when you push the button. The Auto works very smoothly.
If you set your Screen wake to Auto, you can also set a Schedule for you normal sleeping hours. This will keep your screen from turning on when you move your wrist in your sleep.
