Versa 2 touch screen stopped working

After the recent firmware update my touchscreen stopped working. I contacted support via chat and after exhausting all other "fixes" I was instructed to do a factory reset. DO NOT DO THIS. It has rendered the product completely useless. Prior I could still use as a basic watch and see the info on the main watch screen. Now all I have is "Reset failed!" and I cannot clear the message because the touchscreen doesn't work to click the "Okay" button.
