I don't see any recent answers to this issue, that Fitbit should have corrected "decades" ago. I greatly regret wasting my money buying this tracker after the man at the electronics store assured me Fitbit fixed this issue. So, please, how do I stop or remove the steps counted while driving. Preferably without jumping through a bunch of hoops or remembering a bunch of instructions.
Thanks a lot!

Hello @Zami31 , it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums.
Your device has been tested against driving and riding in buses, trains, and other public transportation and shouldn’t add steps when you’re traveling under normal conditions. On bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission your device may add some steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added when driving isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats. If you want to remove the steps from your daily total, manually log the driving activity for the time you were in a vehicle. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with your Fitbit device, I understand your situation and how frustrating this matter can be for you. I'd like to let you know that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that's shared here in the Community Forums is always appreciated.
I'll be around.

Hello Ricardo,
I commute 4 times a day. Driving adds hundreds of steps to my count. I've tried using the "edit step" (because it won't let me delete them) and that adds calories.
It's too much extra work. I wish I had known this before I spent the money.
Thanks anyway.
