The software notified me that it had an update for my Versa 2. I placed the device right next to my cell phone. It started the update but said it might take 20 minutes. About 10 minutes into it, the phone said it failed and now the device won't display anything, it seems to be dead. It was changed to 90% before the update started. Anyway to get the device to come back to life or did the update just "kill" my Versa 2?

I got the update installed successfully. It didn't take 20 minutes even though it says so. Probably, your versa lost the connection with your phone leaving the firmware broken. Try updating it again from the app if there is any option to do so (I don't know if there is any).
My Versa 2 is back to normal with no noticeable updates. Trying to find out what has changed.

For my daughters Versa (1) the same. It used to work perfect. Until Wednesday morning 2 days ago. It says it is on version 6.11 and the tracker must be upgraded to be able to use.
Update downloads well, install seems to go well too with green check at the end and then the message the firmware update failed and the only way to use the watch is to retry the. She has stuck for 3 days in this loop already. No matter trying to do it via Bluetooth or WiFi (yes, battery is full and 1 meter from the access point).
Even reinstalled the app, removed the watch, factory reset and all combinations of it did not help.

Avoid the update if you can. My heart rate won't go above 100 with strenuous exercise after I updated my Versa 2 last night.
