Versa 2 went black

So I put it in the charger ( even though it was at 35%). Still nothing. Just a black screen. Won’t sync. Also tried holding down power button to reset but nothing. Help would be appreciated.

My charger works, my versa lite is up to date, and I still can’t turn on my fit bit! It died out of no where and now refuses to turn back on

Contacted support and they told me my watch is a goner. Of course, one month after the warranty is up😡🤦‍:female_sign:. Only saving grace is they gave me a 35% off coupon to buy a new one 🤷‍:female_sign:  Better than nothing I guess. 😕

Me too! Charged, updated, no lights, won’t restart!

This happened to mine today. It was at 44% last night and this morning it was black and won’t start.  Has been on my charger for 4 hours and nothing.   Cleaned the back off and switched power jacks.   What’s happening to all the Fitbits going black.

I had the same issue today. Held the button for 10 seconds. It showed me the battery was empty. I charged it half way and it has been fine since. Try it.  Hopefully it works for you. Wonder if the recent update has something to do with draining the watch battery down.

I’ve been told by Fitbit to buy a new one (unless it’s still under the 1yr warranty) 🤦‍:female_sign:

My battery is at 59 percent. Screen just went dark. Tried resetting. Logo came on, then disappeared. Now nothing. No lights working on the back either!

This has just happened to me as.well. My Fitbit versa is 3 years old and suddenly, without any warning shows no sign of life. No lights, black screen. I suspect it is terminal.

This happened to me as well when trying to update. The screen went black and won't turn back on at all.

Thank you for your response, I tried holding the button for 10 seconds several times with no luck. I’m afraid it may have quit for good.

I am having the same issue after completing the upgrade, screen is black, battery dead in less than 48 hours, when screen does work it is only for a couple of minutes, unable to swipe the screen when working to even attempt a factory restart, and can’t reach support, unit is only 6 months old

Best Answer

I suspect it has something to do with the recent update. Hopefully they’ll send out a new update soon and make this go away for people. Mine is only 8 months old and luckily corrected itself after the reset. It did drain the battery about twice as fast after it started working again.
