Versa 2 with External Heart Rate Monitor

I’ve had the Versa 2 for about a year now and have found the integrated heart rate monitor to be extremely inaccurate, especially when running. I have a chest strap that I use with my Garmin fenix 5 (it’s integrated HRM is also inaccurate) that provides very accurate data that I use in Garmin app, but would also like to sync to my Fitbit activities. Does the Versa 2 support a connection to an external Bluetooth HRM? I can’t seem to get good fitness stats through Fitbit because it is using the inaccurate heart rate data recorded by its optical sensor.

Fitbit does not support any external heart rate chest straps.  The Sense, just announced yesterday, has PurePulse 2.0 which supposedly has improved heart rate accuracy with more sensors.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
