I just bought my Versa 2 on Thanksgiving with the selling feature of being able to receive text and call notifications. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 phone. I have tried all the trouble shooting and have everything turned on. I now can get call notifications but have yet to receive a text message. Feeling very disappointed with my purchase.

I just got my Versa 2 yesterday, have a Samsung Galaxy 7 phone, and cannot get notifications for calls or texts. A prompt resolution to this issue would be appreciated. Until then, I may have to go back to my Charge 2. 😔

Hi I just upgraded from the Alta to the Versa 2. I have a Samsung Active 7. I am getting phone calls on my Versa but not text messages. I Have done reboot of phone, reboot of watch, force stop of fitbit app close bluetooth, open app open bluetooth. AFAIK software is up to date.
I can't seem to find out if this can be fixed or if I"m waiting and need to wear the Alta to get my text messages.

I purchase a Versa Lite had the same issue no text notification only calls. I return this version and upgrade to a Versa 2. GUESS WHAT I have the same issues Again. I updated everything .. I even deleted password from cell phone. worked for one full day, I was getting notifications from facebook, facebook messenger and regular phone text and calls.suddenly no text notifications only calls. ?????

Same for me. Brand new Versa 2 and I haven’t gotten a single text notification, only calls. It’s set up properly and troubleshooting did not help. Please fix this, Fitbit. It’s not okay to charge top dollar for these devices when they don’t work properly.

FINALLY FOUND THE ANSWER! In looking through a million other posts, I found the way to do it and it worked! This is what I found:
In the Fitbit app, get to the section (under Account) and find your device name (i.e. Versa 2). Click on that. On the next page, you will see Amazon Alexa, Clock Faces, Apps, Media, etc. etc. Scroll past all of that and go to "Notifications" where it says "Select your Notifications Options". Then simply click on the ones you want. That's it.
It would've been so much easier if the Fitbit helpers on this page had simply provided that information instead of referring us to instructions that didn't help at all. This fix was provided by another Versa 2 owner.

"santhoshjoy", I found Wallet, in case you still need the info. In the app, go to Account, click on your device name, and it's right there along with Amazon Alexa, Clock Faces, Apps, etc.

I have calls and texts selected and I still only get call notifications very disappointing I also have to buy a bluetooth sbu or buy windows 8 for the bf computer in order to get songs on my versa 2

Same here as far as the text/calls. Have had the same issue since I got it in December---Not sure why they haven't fixed it yet, but it's VERY frustrating!

Appeeantly my phone isnt compatible with this fitbit..i didn't know it was only comp. With certain phones
