Versa 2 won't receive notifications from my phone

I just received a new Versa 3 under warranty. I cannot get the notifications to work right. The phone and watch are communicating and syncing. I have received SMS alerts only. Have checked all settings on phone to continue to allow notifications. They were working great with the last watch.

Hi there, @pjsnursegirl. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your new Versa 2 and for already checking the settings on your phone.

While reading your post, I was wondering if you've already unpaired your old Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth settings? If not yet, please note that your phone may be still sending the notifications to the old Fitbit device.

In that case, I'd recommend trying the following steps:

  • Unpair your old Fitbit device from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the Fitbit app
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 2.
  • Set up the notifications again.
