Versa 2 won't swipe

My Fitbit will not swipe since I did the upgrade. I followed instructions about pressing the button 3 times while on the charger. First of all my charger has no button! So now it still doesn’t work!!!

The restart process for the Versa 2 is to press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the fitbit logo appears - the "pressing the button 3 times" is for other fitbit models.

Interesting, I had the update available about 14 hours ago but it has since disappeared. Must be a faulty update.

Hi there, @Irupham53. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before posting here. I understand where your concern is coming from. @SteveH Thanks for your help!

To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hi there, @Pauleoz. Thanks for stopping by! As a first approach, I'd recommend checking whether your Fitbit device is up-to-date already. To do so, in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image. The firmware version number appears under your device's name.

If you're missing an update, please see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Now its 35.72.1.23, versa 2. There definitely was an update this morning that has since disappeared. This wasn't the first time that I have seen this, it happened a few years ago. It was rolled back due to buggy behaviour. I didn't install this morning as I wasn't connected to wifi on the  fitbit. We have changed our wifi network. But after connecting to the new wifi this evening, the update was no longer shown on the banner of the app. It also doesn't show up when I query the device in the app.

Looks like I dodged a bullet here, the web is going viral about this versa 2 update that bricks the product. As a software developer, this is a joke and reflects extremely poorly on their development process since google has taken over.

Watch out Pauleoz, the effects were not immediate. 😞
