In addition, I recommend that you try restarting the device: Press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, and then release the button.

That's the advice????
It's the latest update that has caused all the issues people are reporting with their fitbit.
Mine was working perfectly and now won't sync, battery draining in a day, can't select exercise activities, steps and activities not being recorded and not syncing with my phone. Iv reset mine, disconnected and setup again and nothing has changed. This all started after the latest update
