Hi @Ronie3 - if you are trying to do a firmware update it isn't necessary.
If it is not syncing with the app try restarting the watch and logout of the Fitbit App, swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and restart the phone.
Login and wait for any pair and link prompts and sync.
