How do you think you ever got your SpO2 at rest and with activity before the update?  That only ever showed for overnight.

Uploaded the SpO2 clock face. Even before the update & after, still doesn’t read accurately. I’m literally either shows a blank number as if it’s still trying to get a reading or it shows a saturation of 94% or less. My own pulse oximeter always reads about 98%-99%, where my Fitbit watch should be reading close to. I was hoping to rely on my Fitbit for the SpO2 especially because of COVID.

That only measure your SpO2 overnight;  then a while after you wake it show your average and range for the night.  But it just show that until the next night.  It is not showing you anything about your wake time.  And overnight SpO2 is expected to be lower.

See How do I track blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) with my Fitbit device?

"SpO2 values naturally vary, and nighttime SpO2 is usually lower than daytime SpO2 due to the fact that your breathing rate is usually slower during sleep. In general, SpO2 values during sleep are typically above 90%. The SpO2 values presented are an estimate and in general can be influenced by your activity, altitude, and overall health. "

It sounds like you are expecting on-demand readings during the day.  It does not do that, only range and average of night's sleep.

My Versa 2 works fine -  but it disappointing that the all night tracking doesn’t show actual results. We know it won’t be as accurate as a medical device but it might alert some folk with sleep apnea - I hope Fitbit change this soon They have published 8m person data in the Lancet re HRV so it’s only fair they let us have our own real data. (Anyone worried by a low level can buy a proper o2 monitor to check, as you have done, as they will be much more accurate as sole purpose is to measure o2).

Also it would be useful to have the time along the x axis so we can match it up with time of steps as getting up will increase o2 and cause a high variability when in fact it’s just getting up! I had one of those last night with no preceding dip and it looks as if it might have been a time I was up but I can’t tell. Hopefully a Fitbit moderator can report this request as feedback
