Is it easy to see current and average pace during a GPS activity? The Surge couldand I need to replace the trusty old tracker due to it no longer syncing to my app. I have asked Customer Support and they can't advise !!!

@steveansell The display is very readable for me in daylight and sunlight. The Surge had a completely different display. I do a lot of outdoor walks and don't have an issue seeing the pace.

You can tap to see current pace and then average and cycle through some other stats like heart rate, steps, calories burned as well by tapping. You can also customize what is shown on top, middle, and bottom, so you could set the top as average, the middle as current, and the bottom as distance or time or whatever is most convenient for you.

So I've bought the Versa 3 and the GPS tracking screen is either awful or I'm doing something wrong. Even with always visible the display darkens. Also, to stop the clock I have to tap the screen up to eight times, scroll and try to find the end option. Surely this can't be right? Even at the start of a run the timer doesn't start until after a countdown begins!!

@steveansell You can adjust the display brightness in the settings. See if adjusting it helps at all.
Also, to pause or end a workout, you should be able to press the side “button”. It’s not really a button but if you press the side there is a haptic feedback. If you do that while tracking an exercise, you’ll receive an option to end or resume.

@steveansell Not really, if you press the side of it, it will pause the workout and give you an option to resume or end.
I enjoy having a pause option. I know on long walks or runs, I have had to stop and use the bathroom so I’d rather be able to pause the run rather than forced to end it or let it keep going while I’m stopped.
Hopefully that makes a little sense.

I haven’t used any other smartwatches aside from Fitbit and Apple Watch. Apple Watch does the same where it pauses the workout and offers to end or resume for you.
But I can’t speak on what other devices offer and how they function.
