Versa 3 GPS connectivity issues

I’m fed up with Versa 3 gps! From the beginning it takes forever to connect and now the past few weeks it keeps losing gps signal and that not only messes up my mileage but also my pace which in turn messes up my stats! Fitbit needs to fix this. Never had a problem with my Inspire HR!

Hi there, @Lueds55. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 3. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

Please note that if you're in a new location farther away from where you normally walk, it may take a few minutes to connect.

With that being said, I'd like to know if you've recently changed your normally location? How long do you wait for the GPS signal to connect? If you've noticed it's less than 5 minutes, please let your watch try to connect for at least 5 minutes before cancelling the exercise. Your Versa 3 will continue to try connecting and you can go about your walk.

Also, please make sure your Versa 3 meets the requirements for connecting to GPS. For more information, see Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?

Moreover, please be advised that environmental factors, including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and thick cloud cover, can interfere with your device’s ability to connect to GPS satellites. If the signal is blocked—either because you're indoors, underground, or due to another reason—GPS won't work.

Hope this helps.

My settings are all correct. I haven’t changed location, I walk out my
front door, walk to street and connect to gps. It takes several minutes to
connect. I don’t have any tall buildings, blue skies & sunny & sometimes
not a cloud in the sky. I notice I lose gps signal after I turn around &
head back same route. I walk the same route every day & the mileage varies
up to a mile off. When I lose gps signal I notice my pace goes way up even
though I’m walking the same pace.

Hi

I am having the same issue with my Versa 3 and have been for some time. It worked perfectly and mapped hikes and runs using its GPS and then suddenly stopped. If I want to map a run I have to use the GPS on my phone and the HR on my watch, and the two do not sync after. I'm annoyed that I bought a product with GPS, as that is what I wanted, and despite doing what I wanted originally it has now has stopped. I have been through so many threads in the forum and have tried the suggestions and nothing has worked. In fact many threads are left unanswered.

I have been using the Fitbit app for 6 and a half years and usually the performance gets better. In this last year I have found that, by contrast, the performance has regressed. I want to be able to map hikes which I was able to do when I first got the watch. I have not changed the location, I do not live in a built up area, I have tried the GPS connection on clear days (although it worked perfectly well on cloudy days previously) and nothing has worked. In all honesty I feel I have been mis sold and am questioning the faith I have always put into Fitbit.
If there is a fix can you please let me know, likewise if there is not a fix can I be informed as I may need to look elsewhere. Thank you.
