Versa 3 won't keep the correct time

Since I got my Versa 3 it has had an issue where it says the wrong time, often it will be the hour that is wrong, it can be anything from two hours ahead to a completely random made up time (like 29:00). I tried going through the Fitbit support a few times after I got it last July but gave up as they kept suggesting the same things and it never worked, in the end I just stopped using it for that feature. It is really frustrating and a bit ridiculous not to be able to rely on a watch to tell the time though. Has anyone else had the same problem and found a solution?

Hi there, @heathdurling. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.

As you may know, your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit grabs the time of the device you're syncing with.

With that being said, I'd like to ask if by any chance you're using MobileTrack? If you're and you're also syncing with an Android phone, please know that Android users can't use MobileTrack in addition to a Fitbit device. For more information about MobileTrack, see How do I use Fitbit MobileTrack?

If you have MobileTrack linked to your Fitbit account you'll need to remove it in order to set up the Fitbit device and get back on track since this might be causing your Versa 3 to not keep the correct time. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @heathdurling  - if your watch shows an invalid time it could be a watch face fault, did they suggest changing the clock face?

Have you tried setting the time zone manually, in the Fitbit App, click profile photo, app settings turn off automatic time zone and location and set the time zone manually and sync. If necessary restart the watch and sync.

After you can put the original settings back.
