Versa 3 Stopped Working while Swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Bought my watch just over 2 Years ago from FitBit directly so know when I first got it.

I was swimming in a Pool when I noticed my Watch had stopped working when I was resting by the side. I have swam with it before on some occasions, with no issues and know that it it is Waterproof and can be used for swimming.

It then would not show anything at all, but did "vibrate" a couple of time.

I went back and made sure it was completely dry, then tried again. Nothing.

Connected it to the Power (make sure it was not flat battery) and it did "vibrate".

Since then, absolutely no sign of life at all. Pressed and held the buttons, cleaned it of with fresh water, everything noted in the Forums, and from the FitBit support.

Still, absolutely nothing. I can only assume that the Versa 3 has somehow now "broken". Please advise.

Hi @AshleyB9 @davidrlowe - unfortunately the watch is showing typical signs of water damage which happens when the seals fail.

It may dry out in a few weeks (faster in rice) but if it does start to work it can still be very problematic.

Make sure it doesn't get hot when charging as it is dangerous.

Hi @Jimmyff06 - that is an indication of physical damage inside, to make sure hold the watch button (if it responds, it may not also) for 10 seconds till it blanks or vibrates and wait for the logo to appear and for it to start.

And if @AshleyB9 @davidrlowe also, the watch is under warranty still it can be replaced, you can always chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support.

Guy,

It has been over a week now, and would have dried out, if it was ever going to by now. Tried it again last night, absolutely nothing. No vibration, lights, absolutely totally and utterly dead.

Will try the customer support
