Versa 3 battery draining quickly

Hello all,

All of a sudden my Versa 3’s battery drains so fast.  Everything was working fine until this week.  Anyone ever experience this?  I’ve done all the tips on restarting, disconnect Bluetooth, turn off and charge, etc.  I still have the problem.  I’m wondering could it be a glitch from an app or phone update?  Or could it be that my battery is just done, seen it’s last day?

Hi there, @JeffNolan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Versa 3 battery keeps draining despite all the steps you've tried so far. I understand where your concern is coming from.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team just right after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you have any questions regarding the outcome of your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team again. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.

Nevertheless, I'd like to add that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

About your Luxe not charging, please try the solutions provided here. Additionally, please find below some tips to best charge Fitbit devices:

  • Use only genuine Fitbit charging cables
  • Use only UL-certified wall chargers
  • Avoid USB battery packs
  • Charge at room temperature

For charging purposes, your charging cable or your base station can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:

  • A computer
  • A Wall A/C to USB adapter, commonly found with smartphones
  • A DC to USB adapter (vehicle power port)
