I’ve had my Versa 3 for exactly 3 years and all of a sudden the battery is draining. It goes from 100% to 14% in a matter of hours. I’ve tried the various suggestions on here but nothing works. Has it just reached the end of its battery life? If it is, I’m very reluctant to replace as it a massive investment every three years.

Hi there, @Knoxy69. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that the battery on your Versa 3 is draining in less than a day. I understand how your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling as your device isn't that old. I'll do my best to help you with this.
Are you using Snore Detection? If so, please note that the Snore Detection feature does impact your device’s battery, so we recommend charging your device to at least 40% before going to bed. For more information, see How can I use my Fitbit device to detect snoring and noise levels while I sleep?
If the above doesn't describe your issue and in order for me to better assist you, may I know the suggestion you've tried so far? In the meantime, please confirm whether you've tried the steps recommended here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hi @MarreFitbit
I have re-checked all the things listed and confirm none of these are active.
I do not have premium so don’t have the snore detection option.
One suggestion I tried was to log out of the app, deactivate Bluetooth, restart the Fitbit 2-3 times, re-activate Bluetooth and log back into the App.
I’m at a loss as to why this has gone from lasting over a week to draining in hours.

I have the same issue, and I have only had mine for two years. I have all the "extra" "battery draining" features turned off (why offer them if they will drain your battery in less than 12 hours). I charge with the Fitbit cord. I have reset it. I have uninstalled and redownloaded the app multiple times. You name it, I have tried it. I am VERY disappointed in Fitbit for how quickly my Versa 3 stopped working and for the price point! I loved it the first year, the second year, nothing but problems. I am sorry you are dealing with this, I am in the same boat and I feel your pain. I think I will be switching to another brand of smart watch.

Hi @Knoxy69 @sarah.m.mott - normally a sudden change in battery life indicates a fault with the watch, often caused by water getting in.
If it gets hot when charging stop immediately.
To make sure it's not just a syncing issue logout of the Fitbit App and see if the battery life improves after a watch restart. You obviously won't get notifications during this test.

No water has come in contact and every reset option on device and app has been tried.
I’ve given up trying to find a solution and so it would appear, have Fitbit.

@Knoxy69 - if the battery drains while you remain logged out of all devices running the Fitbit App and watch in sleep mode, it confirms a watch fault.
While it could be a battery failure if left uncharged for a long time, it is more likely an accumulation of moisture from sweat and splashes over time, either way consider replacing with something reliable.

I feel the same. I have never worn my Fitbit in any body of water, nor shower. Yes, there is sweat. However, that shouldn't cause problems within barely 2 years for a FITNESS watch. I have tried everything they have asked. Nothing has worked. Definitely feel like Fitbit couldn't care less.

I think easiest solution is going to repair shop and asking for a battery replacement. or buy new watch.

Hi @janps - thanks for trying to help, though the devices are not normally repairable as they are sealed units and don't have replaceable batteries, like ordinary watches, and even if it could be replaced it is unlikely to fix the issue which is often elsewhere
Then there is the problem of making it waterproof again and guaranteeing the work which is likely to work out more expensive than a new watch which comes with a full warranty.
