Had to update my Versa3 and the watch face I used is now lost. The watch face gallery also has a lot less options to choose from and they do not meet my requirements.
How to recover my previous watch face or where to make my own with the stats I would like to have?

@LittleHelper @Podenco Do you live in the EEA? Fitbit/Google removed all third party clock faces and apps last year because of a regulatory dispute.

Versa 3
I successfully (?) updated the firmware as was requested due to the potential battery issue.
However, I had to select another clockface to get rid of the Update Message (which also appears as a clock face option in "Clock" menu. )
Now, everytime my Versa 3 syncs in reverts back the "Update...." message as the clock face.
Otherwise all else seems fine.
(I had to do factory reset, re-install the App, add it back as a new device. etc to get the update to complete).
Firmware version is now 36.128.6.17 - does mean the update was done or not?

Thanks LZeeW for your reply. Yes I live in the EEA. I forgot about this because I still could use my third party clock face untill the firmware update.

Hi @Podenco - the restriction for the EEA is on being able to download, already installed clocks continue to work. A factory reset removes everything.
See about EEA issue for more details and IP addresses
