Versa 3 not logging exercise

I've just discovered after doing a workout at the gym that my Versa 3 has not logged any details of said gym session. Heart rate details, steps etc have recorded correctly. How do I get Smart track to start working again please? TIA

Hi @Lilbec383 what type of workout? Was it one of the 7 that Fitbit can auto recognize?

Wouldn't it be better to start an activity by yourself, next time you're in the gym? That makes sure the full session is recorded and labeled correctly.

Relying on the Fitbit algorithm to detect an exercise after x minutes may not be 100% reliable.

@Rich_Laue I was on a treadmill for 20+ minutes, so yes, it should have auto recognised as at least a walk.

@chielmi I could, yes, but given that the old Charge HR I used to have could record a similar workout using SmartTrack quite well, I assumed this one being a newer and better model would still have the same capabilities, hence why I didn't set the session to start manually.

@AnaFitbit thank you for responding. As already mentioned, I'm familiar with SmartTrack and how it works from previous Fitbit trackers, but I guess from now on I'll just have to do it manually as previously suggested.

I too struggle with my versa 3 not recording exercise.  My versa 2 did it without problem and was also far better at recording active minutes

@Lilbec383check the screen shot I posted, treadmill isot an exercise that can be auto detected. You will need to use the treadmill mode.

I have just used my versa 3 and it only recoded 17 minutes of my 45 minute workout. I started it off by selecting workout and at some point it’s turned off. I don’t like this new button that’s not a button, verser 2 never stopped the workout itself. How can I stop it doing this Fitbit?
