Versa 3 not tracking mileage correctly

Versa 3 "walk" exercise tracks mileage less than I am actually walking.  Used to work fine. "Run" exercise is tracking mileage correctly.  I am using GPS.  I uninstalled Fitbit app and reinstalled on my Google phone, shut the phone down, shut the watch down. Still not working. I know my routes and pace and know it is not working right.
