Versa 3 not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Purchased this mostly to track sleep but every night it drops up to 3 hours and parks it in “other sleep”. This makes it rather useless.

There are other watches (not Fitbit) that tracks even a  nap.

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

I often found the first hour or two were not recorded. Manually adjusting did pick up the deep sleep, though.

Welcome to the forums @Versa3con

Good to see you participating in the forums @NeilTB

I recommend considering the following in order listed:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

None of that is useful as I’ve stopped using my Versa as the app remains broken.

Before that I had problems with if the strap wasn’t very tight, I would get faulty pulse readings. When it was tight I got carpal tunnel issues - that switched when I transferred to the other wrist.
