I read thats its very water resistant as far as sweating/hand washing etc, any truth to this?

Also: SpO2….First why cant I see a real time value just like HR? Only while I sleep? There has to be a way to force it to take a reading on demand right?

Secondly, how accurate is it? Please don’t give me a general answer. I know its not a medical device. If it says my pulse ox was 93% while I was sleeping, is that anywhere near accurate?? Are these real values or not? If its not reliable why is it even an included feature?

You've got about 5 different questions in there, and most of them are:  'is it really true what fitbit says, or are they lying?'

I personally am not going to bother to answer one or 2, to have you come back and reply, but what about .....

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @enayalogi - for the Versa 3

  • It's quoted as waterproof but many people post about watches failing because water gets in, even sweat.
  • SpO2 uses a fair amount of battery so with day activity as well it could put too much strain on the battery and Fitbit decided not to provide on the spot readings
  • As you say it's not a medical device but what you are more interested in is trends or anomalies and it is useful for that rather than the absolute values.

I bought a simple Bluetooth oximeter for readings on demand and dropped using the watch for SpO2 to get increased battery life.
