Versa 3 stuck on Fitbit logo

Hi, my Versa 3 is stuck on logo screen. It won’t respond to touch or swipe. I’ve tried to reset by pressing button for 10 secs but this does nothing. It still charges but won’t sync  to the app. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Hi there, @Shuggins26. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hello,

I am experiencing the same problem with my Versa 3. The screen is locked on the Fitbit logo. I have followed the instructions above with no change. I have deleted the app from my phone and re-installed it and, went through setting up the app again. When the app reached the step to pair and link, the app times out stating that pairing took too long. I have also tried holding the button down until the screen goes black and, it feel the watch vibrate once, the logo then repairs but is still locked. FYI, the battery was at 54% when this problem started. I have had the watch on its charger for more than 24 hrs. Where do I go from here ?

I am having the same issue. Saturday night, it seemed the Versa 3 was turning off and on. Didn't think much of it, just thought it maybe the way I was sitting and looking at my phone. I ended up having to put it on the charger, as the battery completely drained. Now all I have is the logo. When I try to power off the Versa 3, it does not shut off, but I can feel a vibration. I've done all the steps above, I have it on a new outlet to charge, and it will not connect. It seems odd that all of us are experiencing the same issue, all starting on the 19th. My phone did have a recent update, could have that affected the Versa? I'm at a loss as to what to do next. This fitbit is not that old.

Agreed. My phone also updated but, not until after the problem with the Versa 3 had already begun. I have since updated my phone and the problem persists. My troubles also started on the 19th/20th.

I just tried uninstalling and installing the app. I have the Fitbit plugged in, because the battery won't stay charged, yet I cannot seem to turn it off either. I cannot even get to the point of trying to pair it, as my phone cannot find it. HELP!

@MarreFitbitother suggestions? My Versa 2 had issues 4/2022. Is this a Versa issue? Guess I should have bought coverage, ugh!

Just to let everyone know. I contacted Fitbit directly through chat. She is sending me a replacement through warranty, i need to send my faulty one to them and they’ll replace. I thought mine was just out of warranty? It’s worth a try.

My Versa 3 won't do anything, it seems to reboot after holding the button but just goes back to logo. I did all the steps you stated and it wont pair to my phone or app... so DISAPPOINTED IN FITBIT!  Why is everyone having issues... did you send out a virus so we buy another???

Honestly, I wondered the same thing. Seems odd that all of us are having the same issue at around the same time. My Versa 2 went on the fritz last year right after the warranty was over... same with this one. Think I may have to consider getting a galaxy or something different. I did notice when I signed in to my fitbit account, that Google bought them out? hmmmmmmmm

My Versa 3 has been in the 'reboot loop' for several weeks.  I picked it up again today to try the steps provided and it finally rebooted.  Once I synced it back with my phone, there was an update and now it seems to be working fine.  Not sure why today was different as I have tried this many other times.  Just sharing my experience.  Good luck to all.

This won't work if your Fitbit is blank and the Fitbit logo is coming up every 10 seconds. Once the Fitbit device is removed from the Bluetooth there is no way you can connect it again.

The device won't start up anymore. It is charging though but doesn't turn on anymore. Only the flickering Fitbit logo. Is there a huge software error going on here that affects all the versa 2 and 3 users?

And did all the people who have this error move their Fitbit account to Google yet or not?

I did not move mine to Google. I did have a phone update right around the same time.

It has been 10 days that I reached out. I got the email from Fitbit, but have heard absolutely nothing since, even with a couple of follow up emails. I'm moving on to a different brand. Sad, I've been with Fitbit a lot of years.

Same here with my almost 2 year old Versa 2! What is going on?! I tried everything I found on the Fibit-website and other sites, but no effect. Today my (fully charged) Fitbit shows a stuck Fitbit-logo. After a while the screen turns to black and does nothing. Earlier I could restart (tried dozens of times) but couldn't link to iPhone and app.
I'm starting to feel there is something bigger going on that is not just affecting my watch, considering all the messages here...

Mine is doing the same thing and is now useless. Used chat feature and awaiting email

Update: I contacted @Fitbitsupport on X (previously Twitter), describing the issues on my Versa 2. After a few messages and sending pictures through DM I'm told I'm eligible for a replacement (guarantee period expires Nov 23).
I have to ship my device, and after receiving my package I will be provided with a replacement device. Happy for now, just hoping this won't take forever.

you could try to reach out via @fitbitsupport at X... I've done that today and I'm content with the speed of replies and handling. It looks like I'm getting a replacement device after I've sent mine to their warehouse. Package is ready, just need to take it to the courier.

I contacted them on the 20th. I got an email from them and have heard nothing in 10 days. I bought a Samsung Galaxy 6 yesterday. Very happy with all of the features. Some of which you have to pay extra for with Fitbit.

What about the battery life though?
