Can anyone please tell me how I can stop continually getting the notification to set up my wallet?  It doesn’t accept my card, so I cannot do it, however, every single time I look at my screen it notifies me to set up my wallet and I have to clear it 😞

thank you in advance for any help.

Hi there, @TracyFace82. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand how you must be feeling.

Usually that screen will appear when opening the wallet app on your watch by either tapping on it or with left button to access to the shortcuts. While it's not possible to delete the wallet app, please give a try to the following steps to reconnect your watch to your account:

  1. Remove the Versa 3 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your watch.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Select the Versa 3 and follow the onscreen instructions.

Since you are not able, for now, to use wallet let's remove the wallet app from the quick menus.

On your Versa 3 let's swipe to settings, tap, then swipe to shortcuts.

It is here where the user can configure what a single and double tap of the button will open. Replace the wallet for some other function.

Hopefully your bank will add fitbit pay soon, have you enquired about this with your bank @TracyFace82

Rich_Laue's post from ‎04-09-2021 11:36. was the most helpful post.

I did not have to waste my time resetting my fitbit and bluetooth connections to get the messaging to stop as the "Best Answer" described.

This, without a doubt, the dumbest thing I ever heard. I DO NOT want to use Fitbit pay period!  It is getting to the point were I'm going to switch to Apple.  I just want the darn watch to STOP asking me to setup my wallet. I want to see whet time it is, not be the target of a nagging piece of electronic gear!

Santa is getting me a Apple Watch because of this issue.

Please sticky the solution to this problem.

Go to settings and modify your shortcuts on what happens when you tap each corner of the watch and pick something else besides wallet.

Fitbit should take the wallet off as default.

Best Answer

@MKE2SAILORS then remove the wallet shortcut from the menu.

@ArmySoldier this thread has an answer to the original question. Your answer is not about how to get out of the setup wallet, your explaining how to remove the wallet.

@Nouhope then you will be dealing with Apple asking you to setup their wallet.

Thanks Rich for your concern, I hope you have a great Christmas 🙂

I look forward to exploring my new Apple Watch functions like, seeing the time and receiving text messages.

How do we stop this notification without uploading a card?  I have zero interest in uploading a card, and it vexes me that I have to upload a card in order to see the time vs the unnecessary reminder.

The easiest way I know of @Hedden is to go into settings and remove the wallet from the quick setting.

If a user doesn't request the wallet, they will not get the message to setup the wallet.

Best Answer

Let us delete the wallet.   This is a shockingly stupid solution.

I would search the Feature Suggestion board, their may already be this request, or you can create a request. Asking the community of fitbit users to redesign your firmware

Best Answer

Agree. That worked for me.

This has not worked for me.  I have NEVER requested the wallet, I would never consider it, and I did not accidentally make a request.  Do not ever indicate on the user boards that we took actions that caused our own problem.  This is a new design on the Fitbit.

You cannot remove the wallet from your apps which is ridiculous

Best Answer

That is true @Jengch but as mentioned, we can remove Pay from both button quick starts. Once these are removed, the user will not be able to, even accidently, open Fitbit Pay.

How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
