Versa 3 stuck on a reboot loop

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After working perfectly for 2.5 years, my Versa 3 suddenly went into a boot loop a few days ago.  I have already tried all the steps provided in the many other threads reporting the same issue, and as expected, nothing has worked.  Hopefully someone will share the actual solution, because I can’t believe any reputable company would put out a product that self destructs like this after only 2.5 years of use.

Hi there, @Dfwpauker. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 is still unresponsive. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa 3. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

With the above being said, please sync your Versa 3 and then, proceed with the steps below in the order listed:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
  3. After the screen turns off, you’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration.
      2. After you feel the vibration, release the button.
        • This vibration indicates you started the factory reset.
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.

Once the above has been done, you can now proceed to set up your Versa 3 again by following the steps provided here How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Right, so the recommendation is to try exactly the same steps you have posted for everyone else having this same problem.  When I said "I have already tried all the steps provided in the many other threads reporting the same issue, and as expected, nothing has worked.", these were just some of the steps I'd read and tried.

I think a better - and probably less frustrating - "last resort" is to throw this inoperable paperweight into the trash and commit to never buying another Fitbit product.

Hello, please, why doesn't he support the Fest 3 hour, the Arabic language, this is very ignored, and since many Arab countries use the watch, it is possible, please speak that this Arabic language exists, thank you

Any other ideas?  As mentioned, I've tried all this before.  Would be good to see a solution to this problem that I, and apparently more than just a few others, are also experiencing.

Mine done the exact same thing after 2 years, I've tried everything possible and nothing works I've given up. Fitbit haven't a clue, they repeat the same answer every time.  IT DON'T WORK !!!

Ok update, after two days of repeated pressing,  holding, button release, finally got life back in versa 3, passed the reboot and got big red X , went on app, got Bluetooth connected and now allowing me to download setting up versa 3.  Before starting make sure you have at least 50% battery life. Don't give up there's life in the old watch still,  as they say patience is a virtual
