Versa 3 stuck on the Fitbit logo

My Versa 3 recently started to experience peculiar behaviour. The screen flashing on and off, clock faces only showing half, the screen swipe not working properly and unable to choose menu items. I followed advice and tried to do a factory reset but now have the Fitbit logo stuck on the screen. I’ve gone through the recommended process dozens of times to no avail. I know there are several threads on this subject but after trawling through, I’ve yet to find a solution. The reset procedure is hopeless in my opinion. Is my Fitbit dead?

Hi there, @Kevalino. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 is still stuck on the Fitbit logo. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please note that the difficulty you are having to set up your Versa 3 usually happens when you perform a factory reset without first unpairing the watch. In order to solve this issue, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I can’t do what you suggest because the Fitbit is stuck on the logo. It
doesn’t restart.

After struggling for days with this without success I have decided to bin the Fitbit. I bought a smartwatch for eBay for a mighty £16. It’s far superior to the Fitbit at a fraction of the price! Never would I recommend Fitbit to anyone.
