Versa 3 swim app won't show real-time laps

I had an ionic that died about a year ago. I used my daughters old Apple Watch while I waited for Black Friday to upgrade to the versa 3 since I felt loyal to Fitbit. Today was my first chance to swim with the versa 3 and was extremely disappointed. The old ionic was better than the versa 3 when it came to seeing stats while swimming. Had I known I wouldn’t be able to track anything but time while swimming I never would have gotten it. I mistakenly assumed that the versa 3 was an upgrade.  I may not feel so loyal to Fitbit after this.

Please note that heart-rate tracking is disabled during your swim workout.
