Versa 3 unresponsive

Hi all, my Versa 3 is unresponsive. I can click the side button to reset which I have done multiple times but the screen won’t allow me to swipe to anything else. I have tried restarting on charge and without charge, still nothing. Another issue is that it is losing charge extremely quickly, it has done something like this before and update sorted it, anyone else having this problem?

I’m having the same exact issue with my versa 2. At first it just wouldn’t hold a charge and then became unresponsive as well. Started about 1-2 weeks ago, no idea if it’s damaged internally or related to an update. I’ve also tried rebooting, I don’t use the always on function, and I don’t wear it while swimming or anything like that. 
Hoping to get some advice and not have to buy a new one.

Hi @Newwood14 - if your watch loses a full charge in under 2 days there is most likely a fault with it especially if the screen is not responding, often from water accumulation and damage. If it also get hot while charging stop immediately.

 

If the restart does not resolve it you can always try a factory reset but it is unlikely to resolve it and it needs replacing. Check if under warranty,

Hi @Ajones64 - your watch may also be faulty as you are having similar issues, even if you don't swim with it water can still accumulate over time from contact with water and often cause short battery life < 2 days and unresponsiveness.

 

It probably needs replacing, go for the same model, as later more expensive models may not have all the features and reliability of the Versa 2. If it is under warranty it can be replaced free. Do note the names of any clocks or apps you use for reinstallation later, if necessary.

 

If on watch music is important to you consider other brands.

I'm having the same issue, as well.  I can't swipe, restart, or do anything.  I hope they get it fixed soon.

I contacted the retailer, was still under warranty so replacing it

It's not just charging.  The battery was full.  There's no clock face, no syncing, nothing.

@AshRedAngel - press and hold the button for 10 seconds and wait for a vibrate and logo to appear.

 

If it does not vibrate then it may not be charged, or is completely faulty.

 

To check the charge on the watch in the Fitbit App look at the time it last synced. If that was within a few hours ago the watch is probably faulty.

 

Also put on charge again as that can wake it if the watch and charge cable are working.
