Versa 3 won't sync

Won’t sync. Going on 3 weeks now. Do I need to pay premium to get it to work? I’ve never had to pay for any other Fitbits I’ve had. Disappointed if this is the case.

Hello there, @Dwjonesy. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand how you must be feeling. 

First of all, please note you don't need Fitbit Premium in order to sync your Versa 3.

On a side note, I agree with the steps recommended by @Guy_. Nevertheless, I'd suggest trying those steps in this order: 

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hi @Dwjonesy - no you don't need premium but there are a few things to do that might help.

Remove the watch Bluetooth entries from all devices that have the Fitbit App installed and turn off Bluetooth.

Logout of the Fitbit App on your phone and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone and turn on Bluetooth.

Restart the watch by holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for the watch to start.

Login again and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync.

If you can't get synced, Click profile photo and "+ Set up a Device" and replace.
