Versa Bluetooth - pairing or not pairing - sync or not sync

I have use the Flex, Flex 2, Inspire and 2 Versa with Huawei (yes, the Huawei), Samsung, Xiaomi and Google Pixel 3 XL.

 

Of all these, Fitbit works but not too well with Huawei and Xiaomi. Needs 3-4 attempts to sync - transferring data. Of all Fitbit, the Inspire is the one causing more problem in syncing.

 

Yesterday and today started with Google Pixel 3 XL. Syncing is much smoother with Versa. Not tested with Inspire. But then for the purpose of Trsuted device, I check whether I can pair this phone with Versa. The Versa cannot even pair in Bluetooth with Pixel. Versa is not discovered when bluetooth is scanning. Bluetooth found my Audioengine speaker (can pair), Inspire (cannot pair)  but no Versa in the list. But this versa sync very well with Pixel.

 

Can anybody enlighten me with what happened and how this Bluetooth and sync works? To sync do you need bluetooth or just wifi?

@mingke Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not syncing with your phone. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device. 
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. 
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Note: make sure all other phones and bluetooth devices aren't nearby so they don't interfere with the syncing process.

Thank you for your reply. I leave everything as it is and without changing or doing anything, the next day everything work as it is suppose to. Still it is a mistery to me. My Versa does not show in my Bluetooth devices list and get it works. And it is supposed to work based on Bluetooth. And yet Bluetooth fo fot find it and ask for pairing. Something wrong with Fitbit design
