During yet another day of disappointment with my Versa I have discovered that the reason it no lo get provides me with maps of my runs is because the GPS on auto tracker is off. Can anyone please provide me with a work around to stop this please? I have a £200 watch made of plastic that does little else other than tell me what time it is.. I realize I can track from my phone and get the map that way but its a.bit like having a dog and barking yourself The problem appears to be the app not sharing info with the watch but also realized the Bluetooth on the watch is also switching itself off? Why?

Hi @Pingette46 thanks for bringing this to my attention, let me help you out with your Versa GPS concern.
First, I appreciate your feedback that was submitted because this information help us to improve our products and services. Let me share with you that the connected GPS feature on your device works with the GPS sensors in your nearby phone. To get GPS data, including pace and route for your workout, select a GPS exercise from the Exercise app on your device and bring a GPS-enabled phone with you. We recommend that you turn off Wi-Fi on your phone when using connected GPS.
When you choose a GPS exercise, your device vibrates when your phone finds a GPS signal. Environmental factors including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover can interfere with your phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites. I recommend you to check: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device? and take in consideration the following:
I'll be around looking to your reply if further assistance is needed, please keep me posted

Hi Ricardo, thanks for your response. As you can see from the image GPS isn't on? I have done the same routes for a while and it's only recently that this problem has arisen . Yes there are trees etc but nothing prevented my.maps from being available when I got back My watch would vibrate and automatically track without any issues and yes I had my phone with me as always and my.mobile data was switched on. All is as it should be except for the lack of maps and the constant need to uninstall and reinstall the app

Just so you can see the information is slightly conflicting on the app? This states that GPS will be tracking

Not sure if you have resolved this, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned or perhaps overlooked it, is I thought I had the same problem until I realized the Fitbit app on the phone needs to be active to connect to the gps. I never brought the app up (active) while choosing “run” and all i kept seeing was “connecting...” the entire run. Anyway, it is resolved after several months of not using it and thinking it didn't work. Hope this helps.

Hi there!
Make sure youre app is running in the background with full permissions granted on your device then make sure location is on and make sure your device and phone are synced and the device is infact not made from plastic its made from carbon aluminum.

Are you saying you have to take the phone on the run too? I bought a Versa 2 to record my activities without having to take a phone and for it to automtically upload to Strava. I am assuming it won't upload to Strava as GPS is not being recorded. The advice on line talks of icons I can't find on the mobile app or the windows dashboard. Getting very frustrated
