Versa: Data not cleared, sync and try again message

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my versa out of the box and it shows as "data not cleared, sync and try again." I read several other forums, and they all said to try a factory reset or try clearing the phone's Bluetooth and unpairing it. The problem is that I do not have the phone since I have not even paired it yet, I can only assume that someone at Fitbit tried to connect it or something, because that is the only way it could have data. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? It's really frustrating.

Thanks!

Hello @NateLu, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. Let me share with you that the reason why your Versa is showing the error message described in your post is because the firmware update procedure of your device wasn't successfully completed. That said, I recommend you to learn more about how to update the firmware version of your Fitbit device with the information that's specified on this help article. Then, please move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

Hi @RicardoFitbit, thank you so much for your response. I was trying to do this earlier, but the problem is that my device is not paired to any smartphone at all or computer since all it will boot to is the loading screen that says "data not cleared". I even tried resets and factory reset using the three buttons on my versa, but that didn't work either.

Thanks again!
