Hi,
My Fitbit Versa is not calculating distance correctly. I went for a run last night with GPS switched on. When I checked my run afterwards the map looked accurate and it showed where I ran in what time etc. The distance calculated by versa is 4.56km but if I put the exact same route in any other map (Google Maps, MapMyRun etc) the distance is 5.07km. This is obviosly a significant difference. I fear that the Versa is using steps rather than GPS to calculate distance as the GPS tracking is correct per the map. I tried to update the distance afterwards via the desktop website and the Android app but I was unable to do so.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Its big known problem that doesn't look like its getting fixed any time soon i'm afraid. There's a big thread here:

Have you setup your stride?
Fitbit uses gps and stride to calculate distance.

Thanks! I haven't set that up as I hoped it used GPS to calculate distance when connected. I'll try and set that up today but it's tricky as it is different when walking or running
