Versa Factory Reset

Well my Versa would not pair to my PC no matter what I did.  It was suggested that I do a factory reset.  So this is a warning to other Fitbit users, but after my factory reset my watch is completely dead.  It won't do anything.  I've been on Chat with some genius who after trying multiple fixes, which I had done previously, said he was turning my case over to more qualified technicians, and I should expect an email.  So I got the email which offered me a discount on a new watch.  He was basically telling me my watch is fried.  I don't know where the technicians are, but they have demonstrated total incompetence.  Moral of the story is don't do a factory reset.

Hi @Brhutch - there is a known bug in the factory reset that kills the watch in certain cases.

 

You are quite right to advise people not to do a factory reset, in many cases it makes for a lot of troubles and can end up destroying the watch.

So unless instructed by Fitbit to do it AND it is under warranty don't do it.
