In recent months the GPS connected tracking on my Versa has become extremely unstable and finicky. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9.
I have tried factory reset of the fitbit, uninstalling app, rebooting phone, reinstalling and relinking. No effect.
I have changed all suggested settings, turned off Wi-Fi location tracking, etc.
I ran GPS tracking via MapMyRun while running it on my Versa. Both maps were the same but my Versa showed 1.35 miles while MapMyRun showed 2.41 miles. I've noticed my watch will randomly show a pace of 0.00',and then when I go in the app I will see a "linking with fitbit app required for connectivity" screen. When I hit OK tracking completely stops. If I manually go into fitness tracking and open the tracking map this seems to wake up the connected GPS. All the while MapMyRun app works perfectly in the background. This all happens regardless of whether or not I'm using my Bluetooth headphones.
I've had my Versa less than a year and am very disappointed in this sudden loss of functionality of my watch. It seems related to the application.

I have also lost my gps tracking, it works sporadically. I don't use all the features but this is one that I need. Disappointing to say the least when you purchase the fitbit for specific features and they don't work
