Hello,
My first Fitbit but very disappointed with the Versa due to inaccurate step counts. I've read many posts about inaccurate step counts by other users as well and followed steps to resolve the issue but doesn't work (restarting the device several times).
I'm at office typing and every couple minutes, my steps are going up!!! Frusting for the price I've paid and fails to do its job it was meant to be.... I'm really hoping there will be a patch/update for this fix.
Please help if there were other solutions that might help me.
Thank you
I have only had mine for two days. Worked fine until this morning woke up to 35,000 steps. With tons in congratulation emails. Apparently someone took it off my nightstand and went for a long walk. Come on FITBIT for this price there should be solutions.
I have had my Fitbit for about 6 months now and my FitBit has helped me lose a ton of weigh and exercise and adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. However, now my Fitbit is recording steps in my sleep and I was not wearing it. It calculated over 25K steps yesterday and 11K today and it is not on a surface with any movement. I also Reset the device twice, logged out of app. I have my Computer Science degree and being able to repair this issue should not be a difficult action. WHERE IS THE SOLUTION FITBIT. YOUR WATCH IS NOT WORTH 200 DOLLARS IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RESPOND TO A 3 PG FORUM. Your customers are pissed at you so thanks for nothing FITBIT!

They've been looking at this 'issue' for 2 years. I suspect there is either no resolution; or, they don't care.
Best AnswerMy new Versa registers about 3X the amount of steps it should. Very disappointed. Wondering if it can be returned (got it as a gift).
Best AnswerHello i was wondering what u set your stride to??

I recently spent the day binging on a certain tv show and did 'very' little movements. Late afternoon I had 8,000+ steps and about 0.75 miles on the thing. There's little that makes sense about the dern thing...

Best AnswerI find my Charge2 HR was much more accurate. Went back to it for a short time, but missed the other versa features. You could give it a go - nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hi, you need to go to your Fitbit app, I have tried to show you by screenshoting each screen you need. Hope this helps!
Best AnswerLooking thru the forums, they've been working on the 'problem' for at least 2 years, and multiple new device series.

Best AnswerThank you, I've reset my stride length. Let's see if that helps. I really appreciate your generous use of your time. Thanks again.
Best AnswerThanks again for your help. My concern is that I've not worn my Versa today and it already has 4 steps registered.
Best AnswerHey! No worries was glad to be able to help! After lots of time reading reviews and time spending ( that I don’t have 😂) i have made the decision to purchase the Apple Watch series 4 for my health apps & step tracker. Nothing can count steps any less acurate than the Fitbit versa 🤨 I only have to brush my teeth in the morning & I’ve accumulated 500 steps 🤔 haha. I prefer honesty rather than 💩
Good luck & fingers crossed the versa will improve!!!
@SunsetRunner@SuperMaria_64@Dossrivera--- you acc may be broken, were your step issues resolved in anyway? (your posts were from oct and nov last yr). As an aside, when it comes to steps doing household chores: although I actually have not checked myself, I have seen reports suggesting that the sensitivity has much increased. It is probably a different chip than in the older fitbit models. Not sure.
