Versa Lite erasing and not tracking steps

So last night I used the timer function on my Versa Lite to time 15 mins of running on the spot (I currently haven't got the confidence to go outside due to low self-esteem, amongst other things).  During the 15 mins my Fitbit vibrated to indicate I'd passed the 10,000 step mark however after finishing the running it didn't automatically track to my Fitbit (it does this normally).  When I went to bed shortly afterwards I checked my Fitbit & it said I'd only stepped 9800+.  I was very confused so I decided to do some steps before getting into bed.  I passed the 10,000 mark again & saw on the app the figure went to 10,098 but just a minute or two later it went to 10,037!!

This morning my Fitbit didn't track any steps at all!  I pressed the button on the side to restart it & a few minutes later the tracker seems to be back working again.

This hasn't happened before & my Versa Lite is not that old, I only bought it a few months ago!

Any ideas why this might have happened?

Hello @leeds230, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Is this affecting only the step-count or other stats as well? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the Fitbit app and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the OS version of your phone is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Looking forward to your reply.
